As a Family Nurse Practitioner with a decade of nursing experience and four years as a nurse practitioner in gastroenterology, I combine functional medicine with compassionate, family-centered care. My mission is to uncover the why behind symptoms—helping children thrive in their bodies, minds, and daily lives.
I’m a Christian, wife, mother and board-certified Family NP. During my 13+ years in healthcare, I became frustrated in conventional care. I soon realized “one-size fits all” models don’t work for everyone. One pill generally leads to needing another and so on, without fixing the cause of the problem. Specialists typically have tunnel-vision and treating one organ system, may damage another. Conventional medicine looks at the acute symptoms with a band-aid approach.
As a Nurse practitioner, patients would frequently complain to me about the broken system and ask why they have seen so many doctors with various tests but don’t know the cause of or solution to their problems. Then they are told they need to take a medication to help the symptoms for the rest of their life. This led me to become a certified functional medicine provider.
I’ve always been passionate about helping others and truly believe functional/holistic medicine can help everyone, no matter what the ailment. I have a soft spot for children and specialize in autism, ADHD, depression, behavioral disorders, gut issues and decreasing toxic load. I want to help change the lives of those who have been told they will have a specific disorder/pain for the rest of their life with no hope.
My approach combines 14 years of healthcare experience with cutting-edge functional medicine principles, always keeping the child and family at the center of care. Together, we'll explore not just what's happening, but why it's happening—and most importantly, what we can do about it.
While I specialize in children with behavioral disorders and autism, I welcome patients of all ages seeking comprehensive, root-cause healthcare solutions.
Specialized care for children with ADHD, anxiety, sensory processing disorders, and other behavioral challenges using functional medicine approaches. Discover how to restore the vital communication between your gut and brain for optimal health and wellness.
Comprehensive evaluation and treatment plans for children on the autism spectrum, focusing on gut health, nutrition, and biomedical interventions. Research suggests that the gut-brain axis, which refers to the communication between the gut and the brain, is influenced by the gut microbiota and may play a role in conditions such as anxiety and depression. The gut-brain axis plays a pivotal role in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Current scientific understanding highlights nutritional deficiencies and toxic environmental factors as key contributors to ASD. Our innovative approach offers powerful tools to mitigate these challenges, providing hope for improvement even in advanced cases. Discover how we can support your journey toward wellness—because every individual deserves a chance to thrive.
Drawing from 4 years of gastroenterology experience to address gut-brain connection and digestive issues affecting behavior and development. Chronic gut dysbiosis, which refers to an imbalance in the gut microbiota, has been linked to a range of health problems and diseases. Gut dysbiosis is a strong addition of stressor on the allostatic load of disease. It has been linked to several diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease (Crohns and UC), irritable bowel disease (IBS), Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NASH)-AKA Metabolic fatty liver disease (MASH), insulin resistance, autoimmune diseases, mental health disorders, etc.
Comprehensive testing and personalized treatment plans that address underlying causes rather than just managing symptoms.
